Kintamani is a village on the slopes of mount Batur.  Kintamani is also the district of Bangli regency. The life of the locals is not much different from their fellows in other parts of this island. They usually ly wear simple dresses such as a sarong to wrap around their body or a pair of rubber sandals.

Most of the land there are covered by black lava by the eruption of mount Batur in 1917 and 1927 which killed 1500 people and destroyed 64.000 home and properties, including the temple of mount Batur after that temple moved to a higher place as we can see nowadays.

Penelokan is about 5km from the district of Kintamani. From this place, the visitor can see lake Batur easily. The view of lake Batur is very beautiful from penelokan. Here we also can find homestays, and many Restaurants

Usually visitor so many enjoy lunch here and normally from the restaurant you can see the view of the lake and mount Batur, while you have lunch.

BARONG DANCE

The Barong is a mythological being in Bali that takes the form of a four-legged wild animal. This wild animal (Barong) was the totem animal protecting the Balinese people before the Hindu Religion entered the island, before its function as protector, the Barong is said to be the manifestation of good forces which will always fight the manifestation of evil forces, the Randa, who takes the form of a frightening she-devil.

The Barong Dance has been always popular in Bali. It is danced by two men, one man dancing the head and forelegs and the other playing the hind legs and tail. The Barong as a mythological animal, has a great many variations. That head may be that of a Lion, a male wild boar, an elephant, a cow, and a keket is regarded by the Balinese people as the King of the forest, and is also referred to by the name of “Banaspati Raja”.



CELUK SILVER AND GOLD SMITH

It is about 11 km from Denpasar. Celuk is famous by Silver and Goldsmiths. These silver and gold do their work in modern designs when they are ordered. along the main road, we can see a lot of art shops. Each art shop has a workshop where the visitor can see the artisans make their work.

The village of Celuk itself is on both sides of the main road. Before arriving at the village of Sukawati we find a long bridge. Beside it, there is a smaller road to the village of Guwang and Ketewel. Guwang is famous for the Garuda statue. At Ketewel we find T junction. The road to the left goes to the beach.


GOA GAJAH

This object it located at village of Bedahulu, Blahbatuh district, Gianyar regency. In the beginning in this place only know by the local people, before announced to the public in 1923. Its history can”t be detected but it can be proved that it was built in 11th century between King Udayana.

In side T shaped is found several niches. Perhaps they used by the adepts to put their belongings while they were meditating. At one of ends of this cave there is a Ganesa statue, the God of science. And in other part we can find a triple of Lingga the symbol of male souverignty ( sourinti ).
In front of the cave is the bathing place divided into 3 parts, by walls and decorated by 6 big stones statues. This place was founded in 1954. The name of Goa Gajah derided from the book written by Mpu Prapanca in 1365. “Negara Kerta Gama” tell us about the name of 2 places Bedulu and Goa Gajah ( Elephant Cave).


TIRTA EMPUL

Tirta Empul is the real name of the temple and its water springs. But more people prefer calling it Tampaksiring. According to the legend of the local this spring was creted when the Lord of Heaven Indra had to fight against a demon King Maya Denawa.

And his blow than pierced the earth then created the springs. The springs of the Tirta Empul are believed to be sacred so it is not allowed for the people to bathe there. But in the lower part of the Temple there are several place for bathing.

According to the stone document that read by DR. Stutterheim this temple was built in 960 AD. Close to the springs on hill there is a palace of the first President of Indonesia Soekarno and formerly was the rest house of Dutch Colonial officers.Tampaksiring is also famous for bone carvings, hanger”s key that made of wood.

 
CEKING RICE TERRACE TEGALALANG

Ceking rice terrace is a name derived from the shape a circular view of the rice fields. This place is very popular for tourist visitors, because the rice fields have a georges view from the top.
In this place there are also many restaurants, while you are enjoying the view of rice terrace,  you  can also enjoy some drink and have a delicious lunch in this place. Near Ceking Rice Terrace there is also an agrotourism its called “Bali Pulina Coffee Plantations” which is you can get and feel of nine different coffee flavours, but the famous coffee flavour is “Kopi Luwak or Luwak Coffee.
